In this 'Reading Tone Test' study session you will be presented with 10 flashcard-style questions. For each question a single syllable Thai word will be displayed, along with a list of the 5 possible Thai tones - Middle Tone, Low Tone, Falling Tone, High Tone and Rising Tone. The challenge is to know the tone, i.e. what tone rule would be applied for each word.

At the end of the study session your score will be displayed along with the words from each question. The correct answer and your selection will be shown for each question, and it's possible to listen to the audio for each word listed.

Understanding the tone rules is an important part of your progression with learning the Thai language. The 'Reading Tone Test' study session is designed to help you practice your knowledge of the tone rules when reading Thai words.
